Get Cogmed for your practice and help change more lives for the better.
With Cogmed's flexible training protocols the program can be tailored to suit both children and adults, in general from age 4 and up.
Research shows that Cogmed can benefit individuals both with and without cognitive impairment.
However, people who struggle with symptoms of attention deficit are likely to experience more significant benefits in their everyday life.
ADHD, stroke, traumatic brain injury, cancer treatment recovery, and premature birth often have attention deficit as a key component, and individuals with these conditions are likely to be good candidates for Cogmed.
The Cogmed program takes roughly 20 hours for the client to complete in full, and the baseline configuration is that they train 50 minutes per day, 5 days per week, for 5 weeks.
It's possible to adjust the daily training length to 25 or 35 minutes, and to train 3 or 4 days per week instead. With these adjustments, it can take anywhere between 5 and 13 weeks to complete Cogmed.
All configurations have been designed to yield similar effects at the end of training, so you can adapt it to suit the needs and schedule of each individual client you work with.
The system requirements for the Cogmed platform are any modern browser on a computer, tablet or mobile phone with a reliable Internet connection.
Recommended browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari. The Cogmed platform does not support Internet Explorer.
We also recommend clients use headphones and, if working on a computer/laptop, a handheld mouse.
Research shows that a Cogmed training yields the best results when delivered by a practitioner who is familiar with the challenges associated with attention deficit, and has formal training in the administration of programs of this kind. The exact professional requirements differ somewhat across markets, but as a general guide a masters degree or license to practice in one of the below fields (or an equivalent education or profession) will fulfil the requirements:
